Denise M. DebelleDenise DeBelle received her law degree from Chicago Kent College of Law in 1990. Denise began her practice serving low income and minority, particularly Polish speaking, clients in housing discrimination matters. She has extensive experience before lesser known judicial forums such the Chicago Commission on Human Relations which enforces City ordinances prohibiting discrimination. In addition to discrimination, Denise’s work in the employment field includes unemployment benefits hearings and appeals and wage and hour and overtime claims. Denise has also handled a wide range of other legal issues from social security disability, to real estate transactions, to municipal licensing.

Denise’s political and communal activity is equally impressive including:

  • Legislative liaison for Alderman Mary Ann Smith
  • State Representative Carol Ronen’s Committee on Nuisance Abatement, Member
  • Staff Attorney for Community Economic Development Law Project
  • Special Assistant to Chicago Corporation Counsel abandoned property
  • Past Executive Director of the Northtown Art Center

In 2006, Denise determined to broaden her practice and exposure by becoming of counsel to Maduff & Maduff, LLC to which she also brings years of both legal and political experience. In so doing, she has also become a conduit for minority and non-English speaking clients to Maduff & Maduff’s downtown Chicago law practice, making both Federal and State Courts more accessible and less intimidating.

Denise is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association, and the National Employment Lawyer’s Association.
