Maduff & Maduff has grown at an amazing rate from a one lawyer firm leasing a small office in April of 1999, to the firm it is today. The pages that follow hold the dual purpose of providing a history of the firm and sharing the successes our attorneys and clients have had over the years. Each page starts with the major changes of the firm for that year and then tells some of the stories of cases closed that year.

We dedicate these pages to those successes, and to the clients who worked with us to earn them. Because of the large number of cases handled by Maduff & Maduff attorneys, they are divided into sub-pages by appeals and by year below and of course these cases represent only a small taste of the work done over the years.

Please note that most settlement agreements require confidentiality of their terms. Therefore, while the fact of settlement is not confidential, the amount, among other things is. In addition, cases pending before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or Illinois Department of Human Rights are confidential and we cannot even provide the charge numbers. (The firm did not keep records of settlements of these cases before 2002.)

A settlement requires the agreement of both the Plaintiff and the Defendant. Therefore, the fact of a settlement means that our client was satisfied with the result.

Enjoy reading about our history and these cases, the laws they changed, the verdicts obtained, and in most cases, the knowledge that the case was settled out of court. Please note that in most cases, the names have been excluded to preserve the privacy of our clients. In addition, cases are rarely completed in the year they are filed. They are organized below by the year that the case was closed.
